Prime Contactee

Jeremy Ray and Prime Contactee Hypothesis.

INTRODUCTION

The following narrative describes my ongoing work with Jeremy Ray, one of a growing network of contactees whose encounters I have been documenting. As the result of my investigations since 1992, I have recognized a special type of human- alleged ET interactions that allows the experiencer to be designated as a prime contactee.

DEFINITION

A Prime Contactee is an individual who has a longstanding powerful personal relationship with non-human intelligence of a presumed extraterrestrial nature. The relationship typically starts in early childhood and usually involves multiple Close Encounters of the First, Third, Fourth and Fifth Kinds. (CE-5 as defined by CSETI, a human initiated close encounter.) As an adolescent a prime contactee often starts some kind of meditation practice de novo, without any apparent initial human guidance or instruction. A important feature of being a prime is the capacity to request a UFO sighting and for it to take place. This should be a multiply witnessed event.

On Wednesday December 19, 2007 I picked up a message on my cell phone from Jeremy Ray. “ I thought you might be interested Dr. Burkes. I had two sightings yesterday. Have a great holiday with your family. Give me a call.”

It took me a few days to catch up with him. He was in Victoria Texas spending Christmas vacation with his 96-year old grandmother. She was getting frail and Jeremy told me that he might have to leave Sacramento to be closer to her.

It was not an easy decision for him to make. Jeremy had lived in Sacramento for over seven years. After being discharged from the military at age 22, he has spent most of his time there. As he was not quite thirty it meant that he had been in Sacramento for most of his adult life. The capitol of the Golden State is a major metropolis. I figured that it was probably a lot more exciting for a young man like Jeremy to be there, instead of living in his small hometown of Victoria Texas.

After all, most of Jeremy’s friends were in Sacramento. I knew that his MUFON UFO investigations there meant a great deal to him. On the other hand there were other reasons for Jeremy Ray to be moving on. Jeff Challenger’s death had been quite a blow to Jeremy. It was a terrible loss for the entire UFO research community, myself included. Without Jeff the UFO research scene in Sacramento would never be the same.

Jeremy had told me that there were other factors that were pushing him to move back to Victoria. There was the promise of a good paying job working with a close family friend. Then again his grandma needed his help.

On the phone I took notes about his two most recent sightings. Jeremy told me that the shift to Central Time was interfering with sleep. At 1 AM he stepped outside of Grandma’s house to smoke a cigarette. The temperature was 60 degrees. As soon as he was out the door he saw the light. It appeared in the southeast sky and was moving from right to left, very fast about 45 degrees up from the horizon. Yellow-white in color, it covered nearly half the sky in just a few seconds. Jeremy told me that its speed reminded him of a military jet on afterburners. But this was no conventional aircraft. It was totally silent and when the object reached a point directly in front of him it came to a full stop. Pausing for no more than a second it suddenly flared bright orange and then shot upwards at a sharp angle into the night sky.

Jeremy said that after smoking for a while he went inside the house. At approximately 2AM still not being able to sleep, he again went outside for another cigarette. As soon as he stepped outside he saw another light moving in the sky. This time it was bluish-white and was moving from left to right. In a similar fashion to the first sighting of an hour before, it traveled at great speed and covered half the sky in just a few seconds. As it approached a point just in front of him it rapidly faded out.

I asked Jeremy if he had reached a decision about moving from Sacramento back to Texas. He told me that he had.

I said, “Was it earlier in the day just before your sightings?” Jeremy replied, “ As a matter of fact Dr. Burkes it was that very day.”

“Well now”, I said, it seems to me that your sightings were probably a demonstration of the Ets support for your decision.”

‘Yeah, Jeremy replied, “ I kind of thought the same thing.”

I then went on to tell Jeremy the following. Namely that this contact experience indicated that he was, what I like to call. a “prime contactee.” That being a person who has a life long personal relationship with Extraterrestrial Intelligence and who has the rare ability on occasion to actually request a sighting that subsequently occurs. I didn’t have to remind him of the incredible sighting he had with Jeff Challender’s son Max. Reluctantly Jeremy agreed that he probably was such a person, a prime contactee, but he added, “don’t want it to go to my head.”

My response was that such a capability was not so important if he keeps it to himself. Something I suspect many contactees do for fear of ridicule. I suggested to Jeremy that a prime contactee becomes very important when that individual joins with other UFO experiencers to further develop the human ET relationship in an organized fashion along the lines of Dr. Greer’s CE-5 Initiative. Jeremy knew that I because of the semi-clandestine nature of this network, I had called it the “Contact Underground.”

Jeremy listened politely to my much-repeated ambition to help organize a contact movement for peaceful communication between humanity and the intelligence we called the ETs. He thanked me for showing a personal interest in his sightings and he promised to keep in touch.
